Includes over 24,000 words in NZ English - different numbers in the other language versions of Flashcards - plus the ability to add your own words and sounds. Variations of spoken sounds are possible for a word, multiple pictures can be used with a word as well as a sound effect and video (video section can be chosen). This latest version integrates fully with the latest StoryMaker. Runs on Windows 10. A touch screen is an advantage. Other language versions include Bahasa Melayu, Burmese, Cantonese and US English. Features

Multimedia flash cards featuring text, pictures, spoken word, a sound effect and video for any word (as appropriate).
Users are not restricted to the words in the databases and you can add your own words, pictures, sounds and videos as required.
Create sets of words for individual students to learn sight vocabulary.
Customise the order text, picture, video, sound effect, and spoken word are played for flashcards and set time delays between these to optimise learning. For example, a delay after a word is displayed before a picture is displayed gives the opportunity (and encouragement) for the student to respond to the text before seeing the picture. Similarly with video or sound effects and the spoken word.
Use word sets in lotto boards so students can match picture to picture, or picture to word, or word to word.
Lotto boards be set to display 4, 6 or 9 squares. There are also options that change the responses when the right word or picture is dragged in and sound effects can be used as part of this.
Use a section of a video or other effects at the completion of a lotto set.
Integrates with our StoryMaker program so words, pictures etc added in one program are available to the other program. Word sets in Flashcards can be created directly from StoryMaker books and Flashcards word sets can be used to create word sets (for creating stories) in StoryMaker.

Flashcards is available for computers or tablets running Microsoft Windows 10 and can be downloaded and trialed before purchasing. It is available in multiple languages and includes the ability to have the user interface in one language and the recorded words in another to assist with learning new languages. Purchasing one language version provides access to some other language versions. Cantonese is an exception to this and needs a separate purchase..

Requirements: • A minimum of 128GB disk space • A minimum of 4GB RAM (performance will noticeably improve with 8GB) • Touchscreen monitor. Resolution should be at least FHD (the software will run at HD resolution but there are compromises in how screens display) • Any modern Intel or AMD 64bit CPU (avoid ARM or similar CPU) • 64bit Windows 10 or 11 (only runs on MS Windows)– if running in S Mode needs to be changed to run full Windows. The latest Windows updates should be installed. • Reasonable sound quality and a microphone capable of recording speech clearly (usually integrated into the webcam). Most modern laptops or 2-in-1 do this adequately.
