Learning Resources for StoryMaker & Flashcards

A number of learning resources are available:

50 Stories are currently available for use in StoryMaker which are designed to be used with students at different levels, Some includes sets for Flashcards

These stories are designed to teach language and comprehension. They include videos and activities to engage the student in a story and enhance comprehension.
Some activities include suggestions for activities to be done by groups or even a whole class to help develop the concepts in a story further.

PLEASE NOTE:
* These resources currently are only available in NZ English
* Use of these resources requires purchasing permission (see the purchase button below)
Permission is linked to a StoryMaker Product key which needs to be entered when purchasing
This can be obtained by Clicking on "About StoryMaker" in the main menu of Settings and clicking the copy button next to the product key.

To import these stories into StoryMaker:
* On the screen that shows the stories for a Story Group, click the "Action Options" icon
* Select the "Import MoveAhead" option
* Then choose "Website"as the place to import the stories from(not USB)
* Then choose if you want to import all the stories or just select those you want
If you choose to import them all, the student name (MoveAhead) and all the appropriate story groups will be created if needed and the stories will appear in those
The download will take some time as there are over 4GB of content

NOTE: This requires an internet connection while running StoryMaker. The stories will only be imported if you have purchased permission to use the stories (below).

***Other Resources ***

Dunedin City Baptist church has been involved in developing over 50 stories in basic English using the Jesus Film video (used with permission)

Once again these stories can also be used to teach language and comprehension and make use of video clips and pictures from the Jesus Film
NOTE: These stories DO NOT require previously purchased permission - they are free to import and use but cannot be edited or exported.
They are currently available only in NZ English

To import these stories into StoryMaker:
* On the screen that shows the stories for a Story Group, click the "Action Options" icon
* Select the "Import Other Web Resources" option
* You will then be asked to type in a URL (web address) into the text box that comes up - enter: dcbc.co.nz
* Then choose "Website"as the place to import the stories from(not USB)
* Then choose if you want to import all the stories or just select those you want
If you choose to import them all, the student name (Jesus Film Stories) and all the appropriate story groups will be created if needed and the stories will appear in those
The download will take some time as there is around 2GB of content

NOTE: This requires an internet connection while running StoryMaker. You also need to be running StoryMaker 4.05 or later.
